Build-A-Bear Workshop

Weird experience. This place feels extremely corporate -- a shell of what it once was. Difficult to find just a teddy bear with standard clothes for my daughter... Everything is "themed" to the max with corporate sponsors. Weird political shirts for bears. Then the bear tore open the night we got home. Staff were nice, but -- no offense to them, there was one individual that was very strange. Not creepy, but very off putting. It's sad -- this place used to be special for kids -- Now it feels like a sad corporate commercial for adults that never grew up.

I'm literally SO HAPPY! I am 20+ years old, however, I never got the experience of going to build-a-bear when I was younger, so I really just wanted to at least live it at least once. It was my late birthday gift and my girlfriend accompanied me to build the bears I bought online. Grace made us feel so welcome! I was clueless and she explained everything in detail and walked us through the whole process! She was incredibly patient and friendly and treated us like any other person there. She gave us time and really made me feel special, even though I was originally worried about being treated differently or rushed through because of my age, so I can't even imagine how awesome it must be for a child going through this experience for the first time! Everyone working there was super friendly and very interested in our new little friends! Grace especially went above and beyond! We all made conversation while bringing my new little friends to life and I left in happy tears; feeling like I had not only made 2 plushie friends, but also an extra human friend! :) Thank you guys so much for the amazing experience! I cannot begin to express how much this meant to me and how this made this the best birthday of my adult life! Thank you so so much! Best wishes from Macaroni and Oobi! Born on July 7th! :)

I just went here today for my daughters 2nd birthday. I told the two ladies (one blonde and one brunette) that it was our first time there. I spent $80 for a bear and $13 for a frog. I get home and a friend tells me they should’ve gave me a a happy birthday bear for $2 which is my daughters age. Of course I just called them and asked if that was true and she (Suzie) said yes. Why didn’t they tell me this as a first time customer???? They knew this and that it was my daughters actual birthday! That’s so not right! They knew what they were doing, they just wanted my money. I will definitely be going back for my daughters $2 bear but I will NEVER go here again. Racial profiling for sure because they weren’t that friendly at all!
